TheBrain sorta spans across multiple software category types, but I disagree that novelty software is one of them. If you have a specific example you are having trouble with, I'd post it in a new thread in the forum and I'm sure the community would be happy to help. If you ctrl+drag a email into TheBrain it adds the email as an attachment which can be opened using Outlook. Any file that is added to a thought is exportable and stored in a folder. Most software integration with Outlook or Microsoft products (besides other MS products) is one-way and I'm not sure what you mean by being unable to get any of the information back out. It's plain text only, but can be pasted into a word document or whatever accepts plain text. To do this, multi-select the thoughts you wish to export, right-click the selection box and choose Copy as Text Outline or Copy as Text Outline with Notes. I absolutely agree that more export functionality would be welcome, however you can already export outlines using TheBrain in Text format. I don't think TheBrain is billed as a communications tool, but if you use Team Brain it's definitely a collaboration tool. Thanks for your ongoing enthusiasm and assuming your many licenses to various mind mapping programs indicate you diligently search for software that meets your specific need, it's unsurprising that the much muchness of TheBrain isn't exactly right, either.

This has generated a large amount of interest and questions and we will try to address them as best we can here. (Hopefully their egos won’t get too big reading this!) I am truly proud of what we’ve done so far, unfortunately we’re just not quite done yet and aren't close enough to be able to provide a timeline for release. We have the most talented team of engineers and designers we’ve ever had and the result is an application and platform that goes beyond my expectations.
